Hydropower industry – The Upper Trishuli-1 is a hydropower project developed in Nepal, in the Rasuwa district, on the river Upper Trishuli. This project will include a concrete gravity dam, with a length of 100.5m, a width of 30.9m, and a height of 30m. It is expected to provide 1,456GWh of electricity per year. The total cost of the project is estimated at $647.4 million.

The Bihai Power Plant is a hydropower facility located in Xiulin Township, Hualien County, in Taiwan. The plant is estimated to generate 237 GWh of electricity every year It is operating since December 2011 and its total cost reached $16.5 billion.

Solar Industry – The Lopburi Solar Farm is a photovoltaic power plant, with a capacity of 55 MW, located in Lopburi Province, in Thailand. The facility was built to generate 105 GWh a year. The cost estimate for this project was $271 million.

Miyagi Osato Solar Park is a project for the biggest solar plant in Japan, located in Osato, Miyagi. Upon completion, the facility will generate 52 MWp of renewable energy. The project, developed by Total Solar International, will allow the company to provide over 100 MWp in Japan. The financial details were not yet disclosed by the company.

Bungala Solar Power Project is a solar power facility in South Australia, located in Wami Kata and Emeroo. The project comprised two stages, which combined would generate 220 MW of power. The construction cost of the project reached $315 million.

Road Privatization Industry – The Tamsui North Shore Road Project is a road development project, planned in New Taipei, in Taiwan. The expected completion date for the project is 2023. The road will have a length of 5.45 km and an estimated cost of $204 million.

China’s Belt and Road Initiative is a strategy that supports infrastructure development projects and investments in over 60 countries. It is estimated that the total of this initiative will reach $1 trillion.

Dam Industry – The Xayaburi Dam is a hydroelectric dam, in Laos, on the Lower Mekong River. Its main purpose is the generation of hydroelectric power and was put into operation in 2019. The reservoir’s total capacity is 1.3 km3 and is built on a surface of 49 km2. The project total cost was $3.8 billion. The Xayaburi Dam is the first one in the Mekong Project. The project includes 88 more dams to be constructed by 2030 in the Lower Mekong River.

Cold Storage Industry – The Asia Pacific cold chain market reached $61.13 billion in 2018 and is expected to grow to $162.66 billion by 2026. With such expected growth, the investment potential is high in the Asia Pacific region.

The JWD Pacific Project provides cold storage facilities in various locations in Thailand. It provides 2 units of 17,562 m2 in Samut Sakhon, one unit of 10,058 m2 in Chachoengsao, and one unit of 2,708 m2 in Suwinthawong Chachoengsao. It is the first service in Thailand in the cold storage industry licensed to provide free zone cold storage services.

Port Development Industry – Asia-Pacific region has the highest global share of projects for the construction of ports. A new report states that the total cost of port development projects in the region rises to $165.1 billion.

China plans to upgrade its ports to world-class ports by 2035 and to form port clusters by 2050. Shanghai handles a volume of 40.2 TEU through its ports. Taiwan has developed projects to invest $2.2. Billion in the development of six ports. The port development is a growing industry in the region.

Airport Development Industry – The value of airport and airport facilities construction is remarkably high in the Asia Pacific region, reaching investments of $322.4 billion.

A new project for the construction of two terminals for the Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu reached an estimated investment of $320 million.

The project to expand the Velena International Airport on Hulhulé Island, in the Maldives is expected to cost $800 million.

The developments started on the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, in Hebei Province, China is estimated to reach a cost of $421.5 million.

The construction of a new airport in China, the Beijing Daxing International Airport is expected to cost $17 billion and have a capacity of 72 million passengers.
