Hydropower industry – The Koyna Hydroelectric Project in India is the country’s largest hydroelectric power plant. It includes four dams on the Koyna River, Maharashtra, and the project is located in the Satara district near Patan. It generates a total capacity of 1,960 MW. The plan is to build another dam foot powerhouse to use more water from the Shivasagar reservoir. The total cost of the project rises to $17.50 million

The Dibang Multipurpose Project will be located in the district of Arunachal Pradesh. It includes the construction of a concrete gravity dam, with a length of 278 meters. The estimated cost of this project is $4 billion.

Solar Industry – In the Andhra Pradesh state, India has an installed solar power capacity of 3,231 MW. The biggest project in the state is Kurnool Ultra Mega Solar Park, with a capacity of 1000 MW. The total investment in this project reached $980 million.

Gujarat is one of the most developed states in India, solar power-wise. A new solar park project is planned to be constructed by 2024 in the western part of Gujarat state. The project is expected to rise at a cost of $3.5 billion.

Road Privatization Industry – In the highway sector, India has developed good Public-Private Partnerships. The plan is to build more than 200,000 km of highway. India has launched the Bharatmala Pariyojana project, which includes the construction of a total of 83,677 km of new highways. The total cost of the project rises at $75 billion.

 

Dam Industry – The Kalpasar Project plans the building of 30 km dam, located across the Gulf of Khambat. It will have a storage capacity of 10,000 million m3 of freshwater. The cost of this project is expected to rise to $12.75 billion.

The Dibang Dam is a project that will be located in Arunachal Pradesh, India, in the Lower Dibang Valley District. Upon completion, it will be the largest dam in India and the highest concrete gravity dam in the world, with a height of 288 meters. It is expected to produce up to 3,000 MW of hydropower. The total cost of the project is estimated at $3.7 billion.

Cold Storage Industry – A cold storage is developed in the Thane district of Maharashtra, at Turbhe. The project will provide a capacity of 5,550 million tpm and a frozen capacity of 1,039 million tpm. The investment in this project is estimated at almost $40 million.

Port Development Industry – The Sagarmala project in India envisages the development of six major ports, namely the Colachel Seaport (in Tamil Nadu), the Vizhinjam International Seaport (in Kerala state), the Vadhavan Port (in Maharashtra), the Machilipatnam Port (in Andhra Pradesh), the Tadadi Port (in Karnataka, and the Sagar Island Port (in West Bengal). It is estimated that this project will require an investment of $120 billion and will be completed in 2035.

Airport Development Industry – The Dholera Airport Project is an aviation project in Ahmedabad, Gujarat state, in India. It includes the development of aviation infrastructure and it will help to decongest the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. Its cost is estimated to more than $200 million.

Airport Project Phase-II [Chennai] is another aviation project in India, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It includes airport development and it is estimated to cost $277.7 million.
